Fratelli Tutti: To see what really matters
Cardinal Michael Czerny, S.J.
Under Secretary of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development
Address to the Conference of Major Superiors of Men
January 21, 2021
This was a talk given the men and women religious during a webinar sponsored by the Conference of Major Superiors of Men on January 21, 2021. In his address, Cardinal Czerny first outlines a history of magisterial teaching on consecrated religious life from Vatican II to Fratelli Tutti. Cardinal Czerny goes on to draw on the teaching of Pope Francis on consecrated religious life and bring the themes of Fratelli Tutti into dialogue with that teaching, generating a series of insights about religious life from the encyclical. We invite further reflections on this essay. Learn more here.
At this time, we are unable to provide a copy of Cardinal Czerny’s talk. Please refer to the video above if you would like to hear the talk. An article based upon the text will be in the June 2021 issue of Review for Religious journal.
